Hemingway Highball

In the vibrant atmosphere of El Floridita, Havana, the Hemingway Special was born, crafted by the legendary Constantino Ribalaigua Vert. Responding to Ernest Hemingway's unique palate, Ribalaigua Vert transformed the classic frozen Daiquiri into the renowned Papa Doble, eliminating sugar and doubling the rum.

Years later, Antonio Meilan added maraschino and grapefruit juice, refining the drink into the version we know today. At Barkonsult, we've added our twist—a modern highball version featuring Three Cents Pink Grapefruit soda.

Ingredients

• 40ml Rum

• 15ml lime juice

• 10ml cherry liqueur

• Three Cents Pink Grapefruit soda

• Luxardo Maraschino Cherries

How to:

Combine the ingredients in a highball glass (here served in Levitas Hi-ball). Top up with Three Cents Pink Grapefruit soda. Garnish with lime, and maraschino cherry, and serve!
